The Walking Profiler™ enables accurate recording of measurements for actual profile, grade and level for surfaces such as paved roads, footpaths, runways, building slabs and sporting surfaces.

This compact and easy-to use device is pushed over the surface to be surveyed. The on-board computer calculates and displays results (graphics and tables). The International Roughness Index (IRI) output from this device meets World Bank Class 1 Profilometry requirements.

The system comes with a basic Footworks software package that provides profile and IRI. An advanced version of the Footworks software is available which provides additional information including straight edge emulation and California Profilograph emulation.

QD30 Reflectometer
On site quality control of road markings
according to CEN specifications

The QD30 Reflectometer is a portable instrument with built-in facilities capable of measuring reflection properties of road surfaces and road markings observed by drivers of vehicles under day and road lighting conditions.

The QD30 Reflectometer can measure both on plane, profiled and textured markings.

The QD30 Reflectometer measures the reflection and calculates the mean luminance coefficient in diffuse illumination(Qd) in agreement with the EN 1436 specification.

Built-in thermal printer and memory provide registration of measurement results and corresponding supplementary data. The calibration standard supplied with the QD30 is traceable to an accredited national standards laboratory. Calibration to an accurate and traceable reference makes measurements taken with the QD30 reliable and repeatable.

    Other features:
  • Easy to operate
  • Measures both dry and wet surfaces
  • Measurements in full daylight
  • Measures plane, textured and profiled markings
  • Stray light compensated
  • Direct digital read-out of the mean luminance coefficient in diffuse illumination QD
  • RS 232 serial interface for data output, extended control, calibration and diagnostics
  • Rechargeable battery
  • Built-in thermal printer
  • Carrying case
  • Calibration standard

OUTLINE OF SYSTEM

FWD (falling weight deflectometer) is used for the estimation of pavement structures or rigidity of subgrade. Also, plate loading test is used for estimating characteristics of subgrade. However, these methods require much time and work for their preparation, data acquisition and analysis. TML small FWD System “FWD-Light” features excellent portability and enables simple and quick measurement of coefficient of subgrade reaction which is called K-value and subgrade modulus which is called E-value. FWD-Light consists of main body KFD-100A and indicator TC-351F. The main body includes load cell and acceleration transducer whose measuring ranges are 20kN of load and 2.5mm of displacement at maximum. Values of maximum load and displacement, and analysis results of K-value and E-value are indicated on the indicator. Each analysis result can be stored in memory card and printed by exclusive printer. Data stored in memory card can be transferred to a personal computer by directly connecting the card or via the indicator. Measurement and processing software TC-7100 is available as an optional item for indicating waveforms of load, acceleration, velocity and displacement, O-P time and time product using personal computer.
